Q: Are the loops or samples royalty-free?
A: No, However license A is very similar to royalty-free. Refer to license page for details

Q: Can I sell a beat to a third-party such as a producer, label or artist?
A: Only loops with license A agreements can be transferred to another person but still have  restrictions on reselling samples. Refer to license page for details

Q: What if I want to sell a song that has a license B sample?
A: License B agreements do not allow you to transfer our samples to another person. The buyer must purchase their own copy to get a new license. 

Q: Can I use any samples from items with a Promo License?
A: No, these samples are strictly for non-profitable promotions and personal entertainment. If you would like to use any sample or loop for a project you must fill out a license request form found in your account. We will review your request and contact you back.   

Q: Do I need to credit Motion Samples if I release a record?
A: Maybe, Any samples with License B agreements requires you to register a form for every release you make and credit us by adding “contains samples by Motion” This also protects you against other labels or producers claiming rights to the samples.

Screen credits for websites, film or TV use isn't required.

Q: How do I make a payment?
A: Paypal® is the most trusted online payment method and used by over 160 million users. Our site is integrated with Paypal® and provides a fast and secure way to pay. If you don’t have a Paypal account you can still use any preferred credit card to make a payment however you will still need to register with our site to download your items.

Q: How do I download samples?
A: Once you make a paypal payment, return to your account and your items will appear in the download section. In some cases you may need to refresh the page or log out and back in.

* You will need a good internet connection. Dial-up will not work.  

Q: Can I buy items in CD Format?
A: We currently only offer downloadable items.
